Description
SAIC is seeking a talented Agile Software Development Lead to join our Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) Team supporting the United States Space Force (USSF). DRRS is the Department of Defense's Authoritative Source for Readiness. It is used as a common framework to report personnel, equipment, and mission readiness, as well as Commander's top readiness concerns. DRRS data supports the global force management process by providing timely and actionable information to senior leaders and decision makers, allowing them to weigh options and make decisions informed by objective data in support of the National Defense Strategy. As an Agile Software Development Lead, supporting this team, you will lead an agile development team consisting of DevSecOps Engineers, Database Developers, Testing Engineers, and Requirement Analysts, while collaborating with a team of Subject Matter Experts. This position is 100% Remote.

The Agile Software Development Lead will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Lead a team to design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components of the readiness reporting system
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis and implement solutions
- Provide architectural leadership for new features and functionality while optimizing system performance, scalability, and responsiveness
- Generate design documents, and define project acceptance criteria, and guide feature development
- Develop software solutions that leverage automation and integrate with existing systems to enhance operational excellence
- Manage and optimize development pipeline within Azure DevOps
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree and fourteen(14) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required
Required Skills:
- Experience in turning functional requirements into development plans
- Recent experience with .NET / C# to assist in maintaining existing technologies
- Hands-on experience with React for building front-end applications
- Familiarity with Semantic UI or similar component-based UI frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with complex SQL queries (MSSQL databases preferred)
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript/Typescript
- Working with application/web servers
- Proficient with Azure DevOps/Git or other version control system (VCS)
- Experience leading a team an Agile/DevOps environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and develop a Software Team
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Typescript across front-end projects
- Ability to generate mockups and prototypes
- Experience working with the DOD
- Experience with Azure Cloud
- Experience packaging code for IL6 environments
