About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and integration of advanced electronic and electromechanical systems. This role focuses on mechanical design for electronics, including enclosure development, PCB-mechanical integration, and structural validation for ruggedized and mission-critical applications.

The ideal candidate brings strong CAD design expertise, hands-on experience collaborating with electrical engineers, and deep knowledge of structural, thermal, and vibration analysis. This role plays a critical part in ensuring mechanical integrity, reliability, and manufacturability across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, enclosures, and assemblies for electronic systems
  • Perform CAD modeling and detailed drawings to support prototype and production builds
  • Collaborate closely with electrical engineers to ensure accurate PCB-to-mechanical integration
  • Use Altium MCAD CoDesigner to synchronize mechanical and PCB design changes
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity
  • Perform stress analysis, including torsional rigidity of enclosures and PCB mounting systems
  • Execute shock and vibration analysis for ruggedized environments
  • Perform thermal analysis to ensure adequate cooling and thermal performance
  • Support design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) best practices
  • Document analysis results, assumptions, and design decisions
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and design iteration

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5-7 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer in product development or system design
  • Strong CAD design experience for mechanical and electromechanical systems
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following CAD tools:
    • SolidWorks
    • Fusion 360
    • AutoCAD
    • Creo
  • Hands-on experience using Altium MCAD CoDesigner
  • Experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Proven capability in stress analysis and structural validation
  • Experience analyzing PCB and enclosure torsional rigidity
  • Experience performing shock and vibration (shock & vibe) analysis
  • Experience with thermal analysis for electronic systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing / 3D printing for rapid prototyping
  • Familiarity with EMI shielding and mechanical mitigation techniques
  • Experience with cable and wire harness design and routing
  • Experience working on ruggedized, aerospace, defense, or industrial systems

Security Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Application Process

Interested candidates should submit:
  • A resume or CV highlighting relevant experience

Visa Statement: We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates requiring immigration support (e.g., H-1B, TN, OPT, or similar) should not apply.
