Power BI Developer

Blu Omega is seeking a Power BI Developer who designs, builds, and elevates data visualization and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You'll use Power Query, DAX, and data modeling to power mission-critical outcomes. This role partners with clients and cross-functional teams to transform complex data challenges into intuitive, secure, and scalable analytics solutions that drive real-world impact.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that transform complex data into actionable insights for mission-critical federal programs
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly analytics solutions
• Optimize data models using Power Query, DAX, and SQL to ensure performance, accuracy, and seamless integration with enterprise data sources including Dataverse, SharePoint, and Azure services
• Maintain and enhance existing Power BI solutions by implementing best practices, conducting peer reviews, and staying current with emerging Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies and methodologies

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
• 3+ years of experience with low-code development using Microsoft Power Platform tools
• 3+ years of experience migrating and modernizing legacy reporting applications into Power BI solutions
• Experience using SQL Server, Jira, or Visual Studio in Agile environments
• Experience with Dataverse design, data modeling, and data security
• Knowledge of Power Platform architecture, governance, and best practices
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with public health data, such as tracking federal support to public health agencies and impact on data modernization progress.
• Experience with Copilot or other AI tools
• Experience with creating advanced analytics using Power Query and DAX in Power BI
• Ability to demonstrate thought leadership across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to decision makers
• Microsoft Certification

Salary Range: $100K - $108K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
