Application Support Specialist

Blu Omega is seeking an Application Support Specialist for a critical federal analytics program on a remote basis. In order to be considered for this role, you must hold an Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher), and the ability to work remotely in a collaborative Agile Scrum environment.

As an Application Support Specialist for our Client's AWS-based analytics environment, you will provide crucial technical support and troubleshooting for Jupyter Notebooks, EMR workflows, and Hive data structures, ensuring users experience minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage your expertise in Python, AWS services, and SQL to address incident tickets, resolve system and user issues, monitor batch jobs and data pipelines, and support routine maintenance activities.
• Work closely with analytics users and engineering teams, document solutions and best practices, and help drive operational improvements, all while ensuring compliance and contributing to a secure, high-performing analytics platform that supports our Client's mission needs.

Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to work remotely in a collaborative, Agile Scrum environment
• 2+ years of experience with the following:
  • Technical support and troubleshooting for Jupyter Notebooks, EMR workflows, and Hive data structures, Python, AWS services, and SQL
  • AWS Services
  • EMR, S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch
  • Python & Jupyter
  • Debugging, notebook support, scripting automation
  • Data Management
  • Hive, SQL, PostgreSQL, ETL/data loads
  • System Operations
  • Linux/UNIX, shell scripting, system health checks
  • Monitoring & Incident Mgmt.
  • CloudWatch, ticketing systems
  • User & Stakeholder Support
  • Troubleshooting, training, documentation

Salary Range: $80K - $110K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
