Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Blu Omega is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer for a critical federal analytics program on a remote basis. In order to be considered for this role, you must hold an Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher), and the ability to work remotely in a collaborative Agile Scrum environment.

Role Description:

• In this role you'll be responsible for the daily health and stability of our Client's core analytics infrastructure, ensuring critical systems remain reliable and high-performing to meet mission needs.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor system operations, address performance or availability issues, and carry out regular maintenance to minimize downtime and proactively resolve potential disruptions.
• Work closely with application and security teams to support end-to-end analytics delivery-managing incident response, troubleshooting complex platform issues, and implementing improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, and compliance.
• Maintain robust documentation, coordinating upgrades, and enforcing best practices, ensuring the analytics environment is secure, efficient, and ready to support evolving business requirements.

Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to work remotely in a collaborative, Agile Scrum environment
• AWS infrastructure (VPCs, IAM, S3, EC2)
• Databricks Lakehouse using Terraform (IaC)
• Experience with CI/CD using GitLab
• Databricks management and performance instrumentation

Salary Range: $90K - $150K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
