Overview
The IT Specialist supports and maintains enterprise IT systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network and system operations in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and repair IT systems including Microsoft server environments, Defense Message Systems (DMS), and other authorized platforms.
Support servers, storage, network services, and associated hardware and software.
Integrate and troubleshoot multiple information systems in a networked environment.
Perform hardware upgrades, system repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
Install, configure, and support routers, switches, wireless devices, servers, and workstations.
Install, optimize, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN) and Base Area Networks (BAN).
Diagnose and resolve user and system issues; document changes and configurations.
Required Skills
Experience supporting enterprise IT environments and Microsoft servers.
Hands-on networking experience with:
IPv6, EIGRP, BGP
VLANs, VPNs, NAT
Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.
Preferred
Experience with DMS or secure/government environments.
Relevant certifications (Security+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft, etc.).
