Markon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development and integration of mission-critical software systems in a Linux-based environment for the Fort Meade Customer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions using modern programming languages and best engineering practices.

Markon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development and integration of mission-critical software systems in a Linux-based environment for the Fort Meade Customer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions using modern programming languages and best engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in a Linux environment.
- Develop and modify software using Python and C++ to support mission and system requirements.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Integrate software components into larger systems and operational environments.
- Collaborate with systems engineers and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation activities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 14 years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing software in a Linux-based environment.
- Strong programming experience with Python and C++.
Desired
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and/or Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
Salary Range
USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
