MANTECH seeks a motivated and customer-focused Lead Cross Domain Solutions Engineer to join our team in Wiesbaden, Germany. This position supports the Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) II, enabling U.S. joint forces to securely share classified releasable information with NATO and non-NATO coalition partners leveraging several CDS Technologies. You will support cross-domain engineering efforts to ensure secure, interoperable, and mission-ready data exchange across multinational mission command environments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leading the engineering, configuration, and sustainment of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) supporting multinational command and control (C2) interoperability across Department of Defense (DoD) Classified and Unclassified networks.
  • Developing, integrating, and maintaining secure data exchange interfaces between U.S., NATO, and coalition C2 systems to ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Executing operations and maintenance (O&M) support for fielded CDS platforms, including troubleshooting, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Implementing cybersecurity hardening practices in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Joint interoperability standards.
  • Supporting lifecycle management for CDS hardware and software components, including roadmap planning, technology refresh, and end-of-life coordination.
  • Assisting with Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation activities by preparing security artifacts, participating in test events, and supporting fielding of authorized CDS systems.
  • Collaborating with coalition mission partners, Army communications units, and cybersecurity teams to ensure enterprise alignment with interoperability and cross-domain data handling policies.
  • Providing subject matter expertise in support of system readiness inspections, command cyber readiness assessments, and mission thread validation for deployed CDS capabilities.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field and recent 8 years of specialized Cross Domain Solution (CDS) experience, or an associate's degree plus 12 years of recent specialized CDS experience, or a major certification plus 15 years of recent CDS specialized experience, or 20+ years of recent specialized CDS experience.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing National Cross Domain Strategy and Management Office (NCDSMO)-approved CDS technologies (e.g., Radiant Mercury, High Speed, XD Bridge Guards).
  • Strong understanding of Department of Defense and NSA cross-domain governance, including CNSSI 1253, NCDSMO baseline requirements, Raise-the-Bar (RTB) and NCDSMO technical guidance.
  • Active Information Assurance Management Level III certification (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional) in accordance with Department of Defense 8570/8140 requirements.
  • Ability to obtain ITIL Foundations 4 certification within 90 days.
  • Ability to meet German Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting CDS integration for Mission Partner Environment (MPE), Mission Command, or Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ACAS, STIG compliance, and DISA Security Readiness Review (SRR) processes in Cross Domain contexts.
  • Strong skills in secure interface development, system hardening, enclave boundary defense, and data sanitization workflows.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen and have a current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including presenting information clearly.
  • Must occasionally move about within the office environment.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and general office equipment, including calculator, printer, and copy machine.
