Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
Location: Grand Forks AFB ND
Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Looking for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). The ISSO’s primary function is working within classified areas supporting US Space Force / Space Development Agency (SDA) / Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) mission areas. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Collateral and SCI cybersecurity operations in classified areas
• Review, prepare, and update accreditation packages under RMF
• Conduct RMF self-inspections and support system test plan reviews
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation measures
• Collect and analyze audit logs and security scans
• Support vulnerability lifecycle management activities
• Maintain continuous monitoring of authorized systems
• Ensure system security documentation remains current and compliant
• Prepare reports on security posture and safeguard status
• Coordinate and track inspections, reporting, and security responses
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and disposal of ISs per policy
• Perform ISSO functions supporting internal and external customers
• Assist government partners with Cyber Test & Evaluation (CT&E)
Qualifications
• 5–9 years of relevant ISSO or cybersecurity experience
• Extensive knowledge of ACAS and Splunk
• Systems Administrator experience
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic classified environment
• Familiarity with applicable security policy and guidance including ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals, RMF policies
Education
• Bachelor’s degree OR an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Certifications
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level II compliance within 6 months of hire
