The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking experienced Paint & Coatings Manufacturing Engineers located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Overview: We are looking for a Paint & Coatings Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities will include collaborating with a team to scope, develop, test, and integrate innovative paints/coatings research/development/specification projects aimed at advancing aerospace products and production methods.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Key Responsibilities
- Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
- Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
- Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build
- Leads and implements manufacturing plans
- Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
- Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
- Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
- Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
- Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
- Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies
- Conduct analysis and qualification of materials, processes and equipment by conducting laboratory tests and documenting findings in accordance with specifications and customer requirements
- Develop and revise documents, technical requirements, and test methods
- Execute continuous improvement efforts by completing the design, fabrication, and testing of new concepts and technology
- Innovate to solve engineering or production challenges in the area of paints/coatings/polymer science/ sealants/ corrosion

- (Level 3) 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
- Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting

- Experience with 3D model based instruction
- Experience in Materials and Processing Engineering
- Experience with polymer sciences, resin systems, and/or coating development
