Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Strategic Tactical Electronic Warfare Systems (STEWS) program is seeking a talented and highly experienced Principal Quality Analyst to join our team in Rolling Meadows, IL to support the Integrated Missions Solutions Operating Unit.

The selected candidate will perform the following:
  • Perform inspection activities including but not limited to Receiving Inspections, In-Process Inspections, and Final Inspections using calibrated tooling, drawings, specifications and engineering data to determine acceptability of products to contract and Northrop Grumman requirements.
  • Conduct process reviews to provide process validation, improve productivity and performance.
  • Perform AS9100 audits to ensure compliance with standard requirements.
  • Prepare, maintain and review quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements.
  • Review proposals and contracts for Quality and Supplier Quality related requirements.
  • Review, input and assign Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements in SAP Baseline Quality Requirements Planning System.
  • Evaluate the need for, issue, and review of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) in SAP to external suppliers for delivered deficiencies.
  • Interact with internal and external customers on issues requiring coordination between organizations in a professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written), and organizational skills. Must work well in a team setting.
  • Become the Point of Contact (POC) for all program product sell-off to the local government DCMA representatives.
  • Coordinate with the NGC Global Supply Chain (GSC), and the Supplier Quality and Mission Assurance functions to enhance cross harmonization of activities and initiatives.
  • Attention to detail and works with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Additional relevant duties as required by the program.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of manufacturing, production control, and/or quality; OR a Master's Degree with 3 years of manufacturing, or production control, and/or quality OR 9 years of relevant manufacturing, production control, and/or quality experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experienced with various measuring equipment/tools.
  • Knowledge of general contracting principles in a Department of Defense and commercial environment.
  • Experience with AS9100/ISO9001, audits and requirements.
  • Experience with SAP transactions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified AS9100 Lead auditor
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Advanced experience using SAP/S4 ERP system.
  • Advanced experience with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers and height gauges.
  • Experience with Supplier Corrective Action Request/Corrective Action Requests and Root Cause Analysis


Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
