We are looking for you to join our team as Principal Project Manager (OCONUS Site Lead) for deployment to hazardous and nonhazardous duty locations.
While this OCONUS (Outside the Continental U.S.) position reports to the Port Hueneme, CA Field Engineering office, the candidate can be based anywhere in the USA, with no relocation required. However, it requires extensive travel (up to 75%) to classified/restricted, hazardous and nonhazardous duty locations, including multi-month overseas deployments. A US home of record is required.
What You'll get to Do:
As Site Lead, you will be responsible for the implementation of standard processes, planning and control practices supporting the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Package Design, Engineering, Production and Sustainment (DEP&S) Program.
In addition, you will support the operations of the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF), specifically the Ship Support Facilities (SSF) in our Middle Eastern and Asian forward operating sites. This support includes facilitating maintenance on Surface Warfare (SUW), Antisubmarine Warfare (ASW) and Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Modules (MMs) both ashore and installed on LCS Class Ships. While operating overseas, you will also be the senior contractor on site addressing everything from base access requests, to facility support needs based on the direction of the Government lead.

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Site lead for a combined staff of Northrop Grumman and subcontract personnel. Follows department procedures and assists in implementing policies that affect the team, including providing feedback to leadership regarding individual performance.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships and liaise with other organizations within the Northrop Grumman Corporation, our vendor base and NAVSEA enterprises to develop and deliver comprehensive schedules and project plans/tasks.
- Maintain solid working relationships with government, military and staff assisting with schedule development, preparing correspondence and reports of a technical nature and other duties as required supporting a collaborative team process.
- Ensure that major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across functional groups including training, operations, material, and quality.
- Utilize numerous project management techniques and tools to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
- Prepare and submit metrics, upcoming schedules and milestone status as part of weekly report.
- Project plan and forecast of work, as well as support of embark, debark and test events.
- Oversee and direct logistics support, material readiness, safety, and configuration efforts for Navy assets in multiple geographical locations.
- Generate, assign work and lead all personnel in/around shop operation areas.
- Conduct and report on technical review of work packages.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree and a minimum of 7 years related experience or Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in the preventative and corrective maintenance of military systems and equipment, serving as lead technician, logistician, or repair team supervisor.
- Experience with equipment logistics, technical manuals, oversee parts ordering system, quality control inspections.
- Knowledge of MFOM/AWN Job Development and Management (or equivalent USN maintenance system).
- Candidate will be required to perform physically demanding work, to include working in tight, restricted access quarters onboard a US Navy warship, climbing 20 ft ladders and standing for long periods of time on a Navy ship or pier.
- Must be willing to travel (up to 75%) to classified/restricted, hazardous and nonhazardous duty locations, including multi-month overseas deployments.
- Must have US Citizenship and at minimum an interim DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Supervisor's knowledge of the LCS Class MM program.
- Knowledge of and experience with working within the LCS/MM programmatic and operational management environment (i.e., experience working within the NAVSEA PMS 420/505 and LCSRON community).
- Experience in embarking/debarking LCS Class MPs.
- Supervisory experience relative to maintenance and logistics.
- Experience in Navy maintenance to include Ship's Maintenance and Material Management (3M), Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and loading and unloading equipment from Navy ships.
