Northrop Grumman is seeking Digital Engineering Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our corporate sector in Promontory, Utah.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Digital Engineering team responsible for the creation and deployment of a Digital Ecosystem. This includes the coordination / integration of sub-elements such as PLM systems, IDE's, MBSE, DevOps, as well as tie in with Manufacturing and Business systems.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive the deployment of digital engineering solutions into the space systems sector ensuring robust business integration.
- Work closely with the functional homerooms of the space sector (engineering, manufacturing, etc.) to enable the business to meet program execution needs across a mix of digital engineering and digital ecosystem domains.
- Execute projects spanning AI for digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, integrated digital ecosystem, product lifecycle management, electrical/mechanical/software design, and transition to manufacturing domains.
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL of the criteria below. The candidate must:
- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
- Be majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering Tools (Doors, CAMEO)
- Experience with Agile / DevOps environments (Confluence, JIRA)
- Mechanical and Electrical Design Tools (MCAD//SolidWorks/ECAD)
- PLM Tools (Teamcenter, Windchill, Aras Innovator, Area PLM, Oracle Agile PLM or SAP PLM)
