Job Description:
CDS is seeking a Senior UI/UX Engineer to support the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of mission-critical law enforcement tools and solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, and TypeScript), UI/UX design principles, and user-centered development. Additionally, you will communicate directly with backend developers to ensure a unified vision for user engagement across product development. This role demands a candidate who can translate complex user needs and evolving requirements into innovative UI/UX solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining the future of our mission critical tools.
Responsibilities:
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas for Data Visualization and Data Analytics applications.
• Collaborate with back-end team members to define requirements
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality, maintainable software.
• Working effectively in Agile development environments.
• Actively engage in upskilling to React and assist in future migrations or enhancements
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong UX design experience with Data Intensive Visualization and Analytics
• React UI Framework
• 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
• Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS).
• Experience using Agile methodology to manage projects.
• Extensive experience with Javascript, Typescript and React
Clearance:
Applicants must possess Secret or higher clearance.
