Description
Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a Systems Administrator supporting Fort Rucker, AL.
100% onsite
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.
Administers, installs, and troubleshoots a variety of operating systems.
Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance.
Schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades.
Configure software and resolve technical problems.
Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements.
Provides technical support and subject matter expertise for network support
Assist in managing Active Directory but works in both legacy and AUDS environments.
Ensures compliance with DA Pam 738-751 to determine appropriate solutions and actions, ensuring alignment with regulations and mission requirements.
Supports software integration onto the DoWIN network by understanding the boundaries and expectations of both the customer and NETCOM, facilitating successful coordination between all parties.
Serves as the primary liaison between the customer, NETCOM, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives, clear communication of requirements, and resolution of potential conflicts.
Facilitates regular updates and feedback sessions with all involved parties to ensure mission goals are met while balancing operational constraints and expectations.

One of the following:
CySA+
Security+
CCNA – Security
GICSP
GSEC
SSCP
And
AZ-104: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or AZ-204 or AZ-400) (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
Required Skills
At least 3 years of experience in Systems Administration, IT/Computer Science or equivalent field
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams or organizations to achieve shared objectives while managing expectations effectively.
Proficient in PowerShell scripting, to include:
· Conditional logic
· Registry manipulation
· File system operations
· Custom logging
· Error handling & exit codes
· Ability to produce silent, unattended installers, including:
· MSI transforms (MST)
· EXE command-line switches
· Wrapping and re-wrapping installers when needed
· Troubleshooting mindset:
· Reads installation logs
· Uses WinEvent, event viewer, ProcMon, Sysinternals tools etc.
· Understands return codes and why deployments fail
Desired Skills
Extensive knowledge with DA Pam 738-751.
Knowledge of software integration on the DoWIN network.
Exposure to military (Army) aircraft maintenance procedures and flight requirements.
Experience or familiarity with Aircraft Notebook (ACN) software or similar electronic logbook software to better support system sustainment and upgrades.
Understands military (Army) aircraft maintenance procedures and flight requirements to effectively plan, schedule, and execute upgrades, patches, and other sustainment efforts without impacting mission readiness.
