The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology initiatives through all phases of the project lifecycle. This role oversees scope, schedule, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet defined business objectives. The Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain alignment, manage dependencies, support iterative delivery, and drive consistent, high-quality outcomes. The role emphasizes accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across project execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own and manage project scope, schedule, risks, and dependencies across one or more concurrent initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, schedules, and roadmaps that reflect delivery priorities and milestones.
• Lead recurring status meetings and working sessions with stakeholders, delivery teams, and partners to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
• Track progress across delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, releases, and deployments.
• Monitor and manage risks, issues, and change requests, escalating as appropriate to maintain schedule and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate resource planning and allocation to ensure teams are properly staffed and delivery goals are achievable.
• Ensure accurate and timely project reporting using approved tools and artifacts, including dashboards and formal status reports.
• Support release planning and tracking to enable smooth, predictable deployments and transitions.
• Apply standard project management practices to manage change control, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, lessons learned, and opportunities to enhance delivery effectiveness.
• Ensure projects are formally closed with documented outcomes, lessons learned, and stakeholder acceptance.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 3-7 years of progressive experience managing technology projects, including responsibility for schedule, scope, risk, and resource management.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing medium-sized projects, potentially involving multiple teams or vendors.
• Strong working knowledge of project management fundamentals and Agile or iterative delivery practices.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder communications, status reviews, and issue resolution discussions.
• Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira or similar platforms).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
• Experience supporting enterprise IT, data, analytics, or cloud-based delivery efforts.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery at scale, release coordination, or multi-team environments.
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Prior experience supporting government or large organizational stakeholders.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
CLEARANCE:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
