Description:
Our client supports a mission-critical DoD program at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) focused on delivering, maintaining, and modernizing complex software and infrastructure environments. The Software Workflow Integrator (SWI) will provide hands-on technical support for systems used in operational and development environments, working directly with engineers, administrators, and end users to ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and mission-ready.
Location: Onsite at APG (Open to 4x10s)
Pay: $55 - $60 an hour
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
- Provide software and system support for laptops, desktops, servers, and storage systems, including hardware configuration, software installation, and testing.
- Monitor and maintain Windows, Linux, and containerized environments using automation and configuration tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- Troubleshoot system and application issues by reviewing logs and outputs (server, Java, Python, Ruby).
- Develop, modify, and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and shell scripting.
- Support and maintain container platforms using Docker, Podman, or similar technologies.
- Assist with CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within the last 8 years in systems/software support or integration roles.
- Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD and version control tools such as GitHub and/or Atlassian (BitBucket, Jira).
- Experience within the last 5 years using one or more of the following: Bash, PowerShell, Python.
- Strong experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret or Top Secret (TS) clearance.
