Job Description
The Finance Manager will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for large-scale Space Force programs. This role includes developing strategic financial plans, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with government contracting standards. The Finance Manager will partner with program leadership to align financial decisions with mission objectives and drive operational efficiency.

Job Description
The Finance Manager will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for large-scale Space Force programs. This role includes developing strategic financial plans, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with government contracting standards. The Finance Manager will partner with program leadership to align financial decisions with mission objectives and drive operational efficiency.
Typical Duties
- Direct financial strategy, planning, and analysis for multi-million-dollar programs supporting Space Force range operations.
- Develop and manage annual operating plans (AOP), five-year strategic forecasts, and monthly financial close processes.
- Prepare executive-level financial presentations and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Oversee program financial reviews, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with government contracting standards, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and audit requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Qualifications
Required Clearance: Must have (or obtain) Secret security clearance within 60 days of hire.
Required Education: MBA or related field; BSBA in Finance preferred.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years in financial management roles within defense or aerospace sectors.
- Proven track record in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management for large-scale programs ($200M+).
- Expertise in government contracting, EVMS, and compliance standards.
Required Certification: None specified.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Space Force or DoD programs.
Work Environment
- Work will be performed inside a large facility. Position could require some night and weekend work.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting at desk, phone use, and PC or laptop work. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies, computers, or files up to 25 lbs.
Equipment and Machines
- General office equipment, including telephone, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance
- Must be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).
Travel
- Continental and overseas travel may be required. Must maintain a current passport.
Other Essential Functions
- Candidate must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.

- Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
- The position requires a U.S. government security clearance. If you possess dual citizenship, you may be required to relinquish foreign citizenship to obtain clearance.
