Job Description

As a Security Officer - Aero Defense Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within the aerospace and defense sector, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting access control procedures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any irregularities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily activities, observations, and any incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives as needed to support security-related operations at the location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity within the location.
• Remain alert and attentive while patrolling, adapting to varying working environments and conditions specific to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
