ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Senior Computer Scientist to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice in Washington, DC .

This position performs activities associated with the implementation, integration, operations and support of computer systems in a mission-critical response operations environment.
Salary Range: $155,000 - $195,000

- Perform programming, code refactoring, systems operations, and / or design under the supervision of a more senior staff member, or independently on low complexity tasks.
- Use tools and programming languages, such as C++, Perl, and Python to implement algorithmically complex information processing projects.
- Identify, recommend remedies, and / or implement solutions which enhance existing software and system capabilities, performance, security, and other related functionality.
- Evaluate COTS, OGA, Open Source and other existing software and systems for implementation in the CTD.
- Build and / or support preparation of technical, business, and end user documentation.
Salary Range: $155,000 - $195,000
Required Skills
- US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency scoping, planning, and completing full lifecycle engineering projects.
- Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of full lifecycle engineering projects.
- Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge in one of the following areas: UI/UX, Front end engineering, API development, or data engineering.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document those programs.
- Provide advanced mathematical/scientific software.
- Assist on all phases of software programming applications.
- Evaluate new and existing software products.
- Design, code, test, debug, and assist with the development of software as part of development team and / or independently.
- Perform O&M related tasks including but not limited to new feature scoping and development, reviewing usage and / or error logs to scope patches, conducting code refactoring, and producing supporting documentation.
- Prefer AWS/Cloud experience.
