Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a program with the US Coast Guard in Alexandria, VA. The Network Engineer will deliver solutions to customers and network systems in accordance with customer requirements. This is a long-term job opportunity. Work is mostly remote with occasional on-site work in Alexandria, with up to 75% travel.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:
- Deliver and deploy network solutions as required for selected customer
- Develop documentation on customer systems and objectives
- Meet with customers to demo/train on new network architecture
- Make configuration changes and deploy patches as necessary
- Troubleshoot and engineer Azure cloud environments
Required Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- Must have active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Expertise in Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols
- Understanding of ExpressRoute and Azure Virtual Networks
- Experience in WAN/Internet transport and routing, including BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN
- Understanding of network security and STIG
Compensation for the Database Engineer include:
- Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
