Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a dynamic team within the technology industry. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will play a critical role as the second-in-command to the Engineering Manager, contributing to high-impact projects that leverage AI tools and modern web technologies. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a remote environment and can work EST hours.
Responsibilities of the Senior Full Stack Engineer:
• Assist the Engineering Manager in leading development initiatives and performing code reviews.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications with a focus on 60% backend and 40% frontend development.
• Utilize JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js to build robust solutions.
• Work with databases including DynamoDB and MySQL for data storage and management.
• Integrate AI tools into application workflows to enhance functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain application performance across the stack.
Qualifications of the Senior Full Stack Engineer:
• Must be eligible to obtain and hold a Secret Clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in full stack development with strong backend expertise.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with DynamoDB and MySQL.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their integration into software solutions.
• Ability to work EST hours and thrive in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
