Water Operator Technician

Position is contingent upon contract award

As the Water Operator Technician, you will operate, maintain, and support the water treatment and distribution systems at Al Udeid Air Base. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with water system operations, a strong understanding of water quality standards, and the ability to ensure safe and reliable water service for base personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operate and monitor water treatment and distribution systems to ensure safe, clean, and reliable water supply.
• Perform routine inspections, sampling, and testing of water systems to meet regulatory standards.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on water treatment equipment and distribution infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement appropriate solutions under supervision.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in emergency response efforts related to water system issues.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must hold Class III Water System Operations Certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of water system operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, water quality standards, and distribution system operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
• Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
• Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar
• Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
• Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
