Junior Network Engineer
Description:
We have a career opening for an entry level Enterprise Network Operations Security Center Junior Network Engineer responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting of events, degradations and outages associated with Enterprise Services. This position requires the candidate to have a Secret Security Clearance.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Junior Network Engineer to perform monitoring and related tasks.
PRIMARY RESPOSIBILITIES:
Day to day Responsibilities include:
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented processes and provide recommendations for process improvement.
• Demonstrate ability to document issues and escalate as required based on impact to Enterprise Services and Network Outages.
• Ability to perform maintenance tasks and document results.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues via Teams and Phone.
• Ability to update daily task logs and event tracking.
• Ability to update status reports.
• Ability to coordinate events with supporting teams and report status updates.
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Comptia Security+ CE
• Experience using server and service level monitoring software.
• Experience using an enterprise ticketing system.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft based applications and technologies.
• Fundamental knowledge of basic routing and switching principles.
• Solid ability to troubleshoot issues with on site POC’s for issue resolution.
• Strong ability to work with a team and on their own.
• Ability to perform system administration functions from an operational run book.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate capacity for organization and prioritization in a dynamically changing environment.
• Demonstrate ability to work as an effective team member.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundations Certification
• CCNA
• Comptia Net+
Work Schedule:
• Shift Work: Third Shift 4x10 Schedule.
• 100% On site
Additional Skills & Qualifications
must be open to ALL shifts. This specific role requires a Wed- Saturday 10PM-8AM 3rd shift
