Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Systems Integration and Principal Test Engineer / Test Engineer to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be permanently located in Roy, UT, supporting the Test Planning & Execution (TP&E) team within the System Test Team (STT) IPT.

Essential Functions:
  • Working knowledge of Test Planning
  • Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints
  • Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
  • Coordinates integrated testing activities
  • Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program
  • Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations
  • Develop, plan, and execute Acceptance Test plans, as well as Audits and Reviews
  • Use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform professional tasks
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), CAMEO SW, DOORS SW
  • Working Knowledge of AGILE in a System Test Environment

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications:
  • For T02: Bachelors in Science in a STEM field and 2 years of system testing experience, 1 years with a Masters (In lieu of a degree, must have 6 years of qualifiable, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment OR an Associate's degree AND 4 years of qualifiable, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment)
  • For T03 (Principal): Bachelors in Science in a STEM field and 5 years of system testing experience, 3 years with a Masters, 1 year with a PhD (In lieu of a degree, must have 9 years of qualifiable, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment OR an Associate's degree AND 7 years of qualifiable, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment)
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
  • Knowledge of system integration and test principles
  • Experience developing Test Plans and Test Procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum
  • Previous test experience at any level of build (unit, element, segment, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with system integration and test principles and processes
  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman test processes and tools
  • Experience working in an MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) environment with CAMEO software or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Works well in a team environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
