Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a motivated Network Controller to join our team on-site at Scott AFB, IL. This role involves providing 24/7 global DoD Information Network (DoDIN) operations and incident management support. Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve network issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques and documentation.
- Utilize router commands, loops, alarms, and other tools to diagnose and repair circuit problems.
- Operate network monitoring tools to track performance and escalate issues as needed.
- Create and maintain incident tickets in Remedy for accurate documentation and resolution tracking.
- Troubleshoot networking technologies on a live, global network environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure continuous network availability and security.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience; additional hands-on experience may substitute for formal education.
- Must hold a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (such as Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, 24/7 operational environment.
- Familiarity with one or more areas such as alarm monitoring, fault isolation, LAN support, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency with networking hardware and technologies, including routers, switches, encryption devices, and platforms like Cisco, Juniper, DWDM, and optical switching systems.
- Solid understanding of network architectures and topologies, including both transport and IP-based networks.
- Active Secret clearance required, with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret.
Compensation:
- Pay Range: $65,000-$85,000 (depending on experience)
