THE WORK
In this important role some of your responsibilities will include:
• Managing the design, development, and implementation of testing methods.
• Managing the production test engineering Staff, including recruitment, selection, and training.
• Conducting performance assessments, assigns work tasks, and oversees salary adjustments and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Coaching and providing training to staff to ensure the Production Test Engineering team meets business requirements.
• Collaborating with the Program team to provide the production test engineering staff needed for factory work.
• Leading and managing factory test expense and capital projects.
• Ensuring projects meet cost and schedule targets.
• Interfacing with higher levels of management for information flow.
• Collaborating across functional boundaries.
• Developing innovative technical solutions as well as provide leadership to project teams.
• Defining, developing, and leading continuous process improvement activities associated with all aspects of the Test Engineering department.
• Balancing priorities of new test equipment development with manufacturing support issues in a dynamic environment.
• Acting as a primary spokesperson for Test Engineering issues internally and externally to the wider organization.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
