Vacancies will be filled in the many different series and trades covered by this announcement. Your individual salary will vary depending on the specific trade you are selected for. Vacancies will be filled at the entry level (WT-00). During the four-year apprenticeship program, you may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. The full performance level (WG-9/10/11/13) varies by series. These positions have promotion potential to the journey-level mechanic position. Failure to complete the program requirements may result in termination.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met.
Applicants must be willing to undergo a written exam (Accuplacer) covering written comprehension, sentence skills, levels of English proficiency language use, arithmetic, elementary algebra, and college-level mathematics OR provide documentation that you have completed and passed the exam. Accuplacer Testing is only acceptable if taking at Olympic College in Bremerton Washington.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.

- You will assist journey level trade workers by performing simple, routine tasks of the job with detailed guidance as to the necessary steps to take during job assignments.
