Help
  • You will advise management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducts special studies, proposes options and alternatives, and represents the command.
  • You will manage project/program requirements, objectives, and metrics; and resolves conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources.
  • You will develop NAVAIR/DoN program policies, resolves critical problems or issues related to policy application, and coordinates major program functions within the NAVAIR, DoN, and subordinate installations.
  • You will perform research tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule, and performance data.
  • You will conduct analyses to derive relationships among system parameters, schedule variations, and costs.
  • You will recommend procedures for preparing, documenting, validating, and presenting resources requirements to higher authority.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DA-05 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Serves as a principal advisor to NAWCAD WOLF organization senior leadership with respect to the acquisition of services as it pertains to WOLF rapid technical solutions and products provided in support of the warfighter. 2) Directs, integrates and coordinates the efforts of a variety of experts at the Division and Command level in the development and implementation of Command acquisition policies, processes and procedures. 3) Advises managers and supervisors on effectiveness of strategic planning processes and policies for acquisition. 4) Works closely with leadership to effectively implement business and strategic objectives into the day-to-day work execution policies for current and future program needs. 5) Formulates ideas for new policies and processes based on knowledge of NAWCAD acquisition requirements. 6) Leads Command-wide studies and develops strategic plans to address current and future services acquisition requirements. 7) Authors reports, provides progress reviews, and briefs WOLF leadership on study outcomes. 8) Develops plans to execute study recommendations and provides periodic reports on implementation progress to date. 9) Negotiates with WOLF leadership to accept and implement controversial or innovative strategic plans. 10) Provides a key role in integrating efforts and functions to ensure implementation consistency across the Command.
