The Air Force Program Executive Officer for Weapons (AFPEO/WP) oversees the acquisition and sustainment of a wide range of Air Force munitions, missiles, and related systems. To support the Armament Directorate's ongoing mission, the Air Force seeks contracted Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to supplement its military and civil service workforce.
Essential Job Functions:
The Contractor shall apply knowledge and experience in the administration/management of organizational information and network systems. The Contractor shall perform customer service, assist with COMSEC, assist with equipment accountability, and software license management. The Contractor shall ensure all information technology support have and maintain a minimum Information Assurance Technical Level II Certification and must be certified to support network operations as outlined in DoD Manual 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program or applicable successor or revision (i.e. Security +CE, GSEC, CCNA-Security, Certified Systems Security Professional (CISSP) etc.
The Contractor shall provide support to the Government on the following tasks, including but not limited to:
Prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions.
Assist organizations with the development of databases, spreadsheets, and workflows which includes design, implementation, and maintenance of those deliverables.
Provide support necessary to assist with customer access to the Continuous Acquisition and Life-Cycle Support applications including but not limited to System Program Office Management Information System, Automated Business System Support, ConWrite, Contractor Performance Assessment Report System, Enhanced Technical Information System, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control Systems, and Defense Security Assistance Management System, FENCEs, and other future systems, networks or custom standardized Government software applications;
Assist with COMSEC operations and cryptonet management duties and responsibilities;
Provide support and assistance in the development and management of acquisition program related networks and systems;
Adhere to all applicable documentation requirements to perform certification of unclassified, classified and/or Special Access Program (SAP) network systems as applicable;
Assess, implement, develop, manage, perform configuration management, perform maintenance, troubleshoot, perform accountability, and administration of the Local Area Network(s) (LAN), Information Systems (Windows & Linux OS), Electronic Messaging Service, Telecommunications (phones, voicemail, videoconferencing, smartphones), mobile devices, Information Technology Infrastructure, cabling, and other customer-required information technology services. This includes developing and maintaining both classified/unclassified networks to include cloud enclave;
Assist with the development of web-based Information Technology Equipment (ITE), SharePoint, Management Portal Applications and other custom Government software applications; hosting and support necessary to facilitate customer access to the Continuous Acquisition and Life-Cycle Support applications (e.g., System Program Office Management Information System, Automated Business System Support, ConWrite, Contractor Performance Assessment Report System, Enhanced Technical Information System, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control Systems, Defense Security Assistance Management System, etc.), and other future spiral developments or custom standardized Government software applications. Develop and manage databases as required.
Meet and work with other Government, military, and civilian agencies (including other Government Contractors) for project planning and facilitation of Information Management (IM) requirements. The Contractor shall not represent the Government at such meetings;
Assist with development, coordination, and implementation of short and long-term strategies, which plan for the reliable and secure operation, evolution, and growth of the automation hardware and software infrastructure as well as the life-cycle management of all system resources;
Perform research, testing, evaluations, and implementation as required for new technology to fulfill the current and future needs and expectations of the programs supported.
Provide data management services to include file indexing and archiving, backup and document destruction;
Assist with managing hardware and software, perform configuration management and troubleshooting on IT related equipment;
Perform daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, client/server, or cloud based and optimize system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis, planning, and lifecycle management.
Assist organizations with the development of databases and spreadsheets which includes design, implementation, and maintenance of those databases and spreadsheets;
Assist with IT project management planning and execution. Coordinate with internal and external organizations for planning and tracking. Attend meetings and work with other government, military, and industry partners for project planning and facilitation of IM/IT requirements (the Contractor shall not represent the Government at such meetings), and prepare and brief appropriate agencies, organizations, and leadership as necessary.
Assist with deployment of baseline operating system configurations in physical and virtual environment to DoD assets including but not limited to servers, workstations, and laptops.
Assess current or future customer needs and priorities by communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods.
Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts.
The Contractor shall assist the Government with the following tasks including, but not limited to:
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.
A BS degree in a related discipline plus 15 years of relevant experience (or 13 years of experience with IAT Level II) or a MS degree in a related discipline plus 13 years of relevant experience (or 11 years of experience with IAT Level II) is required.
Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

- Performing CryptoNet Management duties.
- Managing cloud-based administration.
- Performing Government Reference Architecture (GRA) and Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) Collaboration.
- Administrating log-on script management and updates.
- Configuring switches and firewalls.
- Performing database administration and management.
- Engineering and developing IT solutions.
- Drafting network architecture diagrams.
- Testing hardware and software.
- System administration of network, Web, and/or communication systems, including LAN and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, involving network security.
