ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to support the administration and execution of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) activities across the U.S. Space Force classified enterprise. This role provides day-to-day security support to ensure compliance with the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), assists with the implementation of classified contract security requirements, and supports coordination with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
The Industrial Security Specialist will work closely with government stakeholders, program teams, and contractors to support Facility Clearance (FCL) activities, assist with Insider Threat Program requirements, and help maintain accountability of classified information and materials.

This position is a strategic, enterprise-wide role that may require occasional travel to USSF facilities.
This employment offer is contingent upon continued funding of the underlying government contract. Should the contract be modified, or terminated, or if funding is reduced or eliminated, the employer reserves the right to adjust or rescind the offer accordingly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
NISP Compliance & DCSA Coordination
- Coordinate NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) compliance activities and interface with DCSA and other government security offices as required.
- Maintain Facility Clearance (FCL) documentation and contribute to ongoing readiness for security assessments.
- Execute self-inspection tasks and track corrective actions resulting from inspections or internal reviews.
Classified Contracts & DD-254 Administration
- Process, review, and track DD Form 254s for classified contracts and subcontracts.
- Monitor the flow-down of security requirements to subcontractors and vendors, including clearance verification and documentation within NISS.
- Maintain accurate records of classified contracts and associated security artifacts.
Insider Threat & Security Administration
- Administer Insider Threat Program requirements, including training records, reporting documentation, and compliance tracking.
- Maintain industrial security procedures, SOPs, and related documentation in alignment with established policy.
- Manage classified material accountability activities, including receipt, storage, transmittal, and disposition in accordance with requirements.
Security Training & Awareness
- Coordinate and document required security training and briefings.
- Facilitate onboarding security requirements and recurring refresher training.
- Reinforce security awareness and reporting expectations across the organization.
THE SKILLSET:
- Experience: 3-7 years of broad, hands-on experience in Industrial Security, as an AFSO or Security Specialist within the U.S. Defense Industrial Base or Intelligence Community.
- Process Expertise: Proven experience in process improvement, standardization, or quality assurance roles within a highly regulated compliance environment.
- Regulatory Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of NISPOM/32 CFR Part 117 and applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an Active Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into simplified, efficient, and user-friendly processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification: SPeD Certification, or experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- System Proficiency: Highly proficient with security management systems (DISS, NISS) and familiarity with enterprise software tools used for document control or workflow management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Business Process, Quality Assurance).
