Title: Tactical SATCOM Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Support

Security Clearance: Secret

Location: Brussels, Belgium

(Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. )

Description:

C3EL is seeking a cleared and experienced professional to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. The Tactical SATCOM Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Support will support the day-to-day end users of tactical satellite systems to include but not limited to Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR)/Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) Access Point (SNAP), Support Wide Area Network (SWAN), Inflatable SATCOM Antenna (ISA), and Wireless Point to Point Links (WPPL).

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Operate tactical SATCOM systems based on formal training and certification.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of network protocols and foundational network theory in daily operations.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN) architectures.
  • Implement and support routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP.
  • Apply switching fundamentals such as VLANs, VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).
  • Utilize Cisco encryption technologies within DMVPN environments to ensure secure communications.
  • Understand and apply TCP acceleration techniques to optimize performance over satellite links.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active, in-scope Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with satellite terminal systems is required.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a tactical environment operating and maintaining key satellite components, including antenna controllers, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Blocks (LNBs), up/down converters, and various cabling types such as fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet. Proficiency with FDMA and TDMA satellite modems is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures. Strong background in IP routing and switching, VoIP, Quality of Service (QoS), T1/E1 voice and data systems, and Foreign Exchange Server (FXS) configurations. Experience with MRT systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Satellite Line of Sight (LOS) and Near Line of Sight (NLOS) communication methods.
  • Required Certifications:
    • An active CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II certification).
    • An active CompTIA Network+ CE (or CCNA/CCNP)
    • A relevant modem certification (e.g., iDirect, GVF training, Viasat)
  • Able to travel to support mission up to 50%.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport.


Education:
  • Associates degree preferred, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.
