This role is critical to ensuring secure identity credentialing, access control, and administrative security operations within USCIS facilities. You will directly support federal personnel, contractors, and visitors by maintaining the integrity of HSPD-12 credentialing and daily security operations.

This role is critical to ensuring secure identity credentialing, access control, and administrative security operations within USCIS facilities. You will directly support federal personnel, contractors, and visitors by maintaining the integrity of HSPD-12 credentialing and daily security operations.
What You'll Do
PIV (ID) Card Issuance & Credentialing Support
- Support daily operations of a USCIS Credentialing Facility (DCF), including issuing, sponsoring, enrolling, revoking, recovering, and destroying HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards
- Grant authorized physical access to USCIS office space using local access control systems
- Maintain and update access control databases, ensuring accuracy and timely removal of unnecessary access
- Create, maintain, and run reports tracking PIV card production, issuance, revocation, recovery, and destruction
- Provide fingerprinting services for authorized DHS personnel and track fingerprinting activity
- Deliver professional customer service through in-person appointments, phone calls, and email correspondence
- Schedule appointments using DHS-approved scheduling tools for all PIV and fingerprinting services
- Serve as a DCF Manager and perform all associated operational duties
- Revoke and destroy HSPD-12 PIV cards daily using approved manual and electronic methods
- Track inventory of HSPD-12 consumables and submit supply requests to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including system logins, appointment verification, filing, and supply stocking
- Safeguard sensitive materials and personally identifiable information (PII) in accordance with USCIS policy
- Capture photos and process personnel data for USCIS credentials and advise customers on credential pickup procedures
- Process visitor access requests, issue visitor badges, and maintain visitor logs
- Submit contractor access requests through the National Facility Access Request (NFAR) system and track approvals
- Process parking requests and assist with daily parking approvals
- Monitor appointments in the DHS Scheduling Tool and notify customers of closures or technical issues
- Conduct annual DCF inventories and support DHS PIV audits as requested
- Attend monthly PIV Support Contractor meetings and assist with HSPD-12 program improvement initiatives
Administrative & Security Support Functions
- Provide general administrative and front office support for OSI Field Security Managers
- Answer phones and provide routine telephone support
- Monitor shared email inboxes, assess urgency, route messages appropriately, and prepare responses
- Assist with property and equipment inventory, including barcode scanning
- Coordinate and maintain conference room schedules
- Receive, inventory, store, and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing shipments
- Maintain phone lists, contact directories, and approved distribution lists
- Perform data entry, document scanning, and electronic filing using approved systems
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and support OSI conference calls and events
- Take meeting notes and prepare summaries and recaps
- Support OSI outreach events by staffing informational tables and booths
- Monitor office supply levels and assist with procurement documentation
- Operate standard office equipment, including printers, copiers, scanners, and binding machines
- Prepare and edit reports, memoranda, correspondence, presentations, charts, and statistical documents
- Draft, format, and edit OSI publications, procedural guides, and instructional materials
- Assist with maintaining internal collaboration websites and uploading approved content
- Verify employee clearances for PIV issuance and meeting attendance
- Maintain and update security-related databases and tracking tools
- Provide approved escort services for OSI projects and facility needs
- Assist with security out-processing for departing personnel
- Conduct basic data and program analysis in support of OSI mission needs
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Three Shifts: 6:00AM - 2:30PM , 8:30AM - 5:00PM , 12:30PM - 9:00PM
- Onsite work at USCIS facilities
- Telework is not authorized
- Must be able to report to alternate USCIS or DHS locations within the local commuting area with advance notice
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must pass background check
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience providing administrative, security, credentialing, or operational support
- Experience working in a government or regulated environment preferred
- Strong customer service, organizational, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Support a high-impact federal security and identity management mission
- Work directly with USCIS security professionals in a trusted environment
