KBR is seeking a Cleared Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support our programs in Carlsbad, CA. You will work individually or on a small team. Many of our projects have immediate impact on national security leader decision making options.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Basic Compensation: $90,200-135,200. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.

Associate MBSE
KBR is seeking a Cleared Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support our programs in Carlsbad, CA. You will work individually or on a small team. Many of our projects have immediate impact on national security leader decision making options.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop descriptive mission and system models
- Integrate MBSE tools to support trade studies
- Analysis of alternatives evaluations of mission and system models
- Tracking of mission measures of effectiveness and system technical performance measures
- Trace related analysis models and results to enterprise tools, requests for change, engineering review board, concept of operations and architecture development, risks, schedule, and verification, validation, & test
Basic Qualifications:
- This position involves classified work. Such work must be done in our classified facility in Carlsbad, California
- Security clearance: Must have an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering, math, computer science, or other technical discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Model Based Systems Engineering principals, 4 years' professional experience preferred
- Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology
- Experience with NoMagic suite of tools (Cameo System Modeler, Teamwork Cloud, Cameo Collaborator)
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with System Modeling Language (SysML)
- Object-Oriented Design and Analysis experience either in system model development or programming language
- Requires an understanding of systems engineering and of model-based methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Knowledge of engineering analysis and analytical simulation tools such as MATLAB, Systems Toolkit (STK), Mathematica, Modelica, SciPy or SciKit-Learn
- Experience with the development of executable systems models (OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional certification or demonstrated commensurate level of knowledge)
- Java, Javascript, or Python programming experience
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Familiarity with DoD and/or IC
