Job Summary:
KBR is currently recruiting a Software Test and Evaluation Integrator (Engineer) to join our team at APG, MD in support of our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics (PM IS&A), supporting the Test & Quality Division.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Software (SW) Test and Evaluation Integrator in PM IS&A, with responsibilities for assisting the PM in managing, monitoring, coordinating, planning, and developing SW test and evaluation (T&E) activities and documentation.
  • Use skills and knowledge of policies, regulations and procedures governing SW T&E to assist project leaders in planning, coordinating, and execution of SW T&E.
  • Integrate the Software Acquisition Pathway Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 5000.87, Office of the Secretary of Defense best practices, Army policies, and best commercial practices to develop agile SW testing strategies and test plans.
  • Provide SW Test input to program T&E documents such as Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and Test and Evaluation Strategies.
  • Provide SW Test input to the Capability Development process such as the Capability Needs Statement (CNS) and provide PM input to defining the SW roadmap to capabilities which may become the minimum viable product (MVP) and minimum viable capability release(s) (MVCR).
  • Participate in SW requirements decomposition and SW requirements traceability engineering with the PM's SW and Systems Engineering teams to ensure both an understanding of contractual requirements as well as test coverage.
  • Interact with vendor SW development teams to ensure integration of vendor testing in the SW development process; conduct SW backlog reviews; participate in vendor SW sprint planning and retrospectives; and review vendor SW documentation deliverables for delivery to the PM.
  • Provide input and review performance work statements and other government documents which are used in the contractual process with the prime SW vendors.
  • Develop SW test threads and test procedures for executing government system-level SW testing in both laboratory and field test environments; contribute to government test plan development.
  • Develop working knowledge of SW products and competencies to execute testing in SW environment.
  • Collect SW test results and produce test reports containing results and metrics which inform future SW development and other key PM functions such as SW quality management.
  • Collaborate with Hardware (HW) team to ensure seamless integration of program HW and SW.
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Agile SW development and testing processes.
  • Familiar with key acquisition policy and best practices governing SW testing.
  • Familiar with key Agile SW management and test tools.

Basic Qualifications:
  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Top-Secret w/SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree major may be systems, software, computer science, computer engineering, electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • At least twelve (12) years of direct related experience is required to include:
  • Direct experience working with user representatives, and Army and Joint programs to develop and execute interoperability testing between systems
  • Direct experience with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance software systems
  • Direct experience in the design, integration, configuration, and analysis of complex software systems, military electronics, computer networking, and digital and graphic display systems. Includes direct experience with Department of Defense System Engineering processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiar with current PM IS&A SW products.
  • Working knowledge of Palantir Technologies core products including Gotham, Foundry, and Titanium.
  • Familiar with integration and testing native or 3rd party Artificial Intelligence services.

Travel:

Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Compensation: $174,680.00 - $262,020.00. The salary range posted is for Maryland locations. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
