Sr Systems Administrator
Location: Reston, Virginia (Onsite)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for a long-term contract position. This role involves supporting a key federal client and requires working fully on-site. The position is a backfill on a three-year contract, offering a stable engagement within a critical infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, design, and implement infrastructure changes and system upgrades.
Manage and troubleshoot multiple VMware environments.
Perform Windows Server and Linux administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Create STIG compliant images for Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux OS.
Create, test, and deploy software packages using tools such as SCCM or PDQ.
Provide expert-level support and mentoring for mid and junior system administrator personnel.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for system and software changes.
Utilize scripting to automate common tasks.
Perform hardware maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure proper planning and execution of major projects and maintenance activities.
Provide advanced administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree is required, or an additional four years of relevant work experience may be substituted.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant systems administration experience. Candidates with 12 or more years of experience may be considered without a degree.
Technical Skills:
Ability to write scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash.
Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other enterprise-level virtual infrastructures.
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
Must be DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by the date of security indoctrination.
Must hold an active CI Poly clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Linux OS (CentOS, RHEL) administration.
Satellite server administration.
Ansible playbook writing.
Experience implementing STIGs.
Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $85.00 per hour, contingent upon experience.
