We have an immediate need for 1 Network technician called a Deployed Support Specialist to support the Navy through Leidos. We area looking for individuals with 4 years of IT experience and a good understanding/ some experience with Networking equipment. All candidates must have a fully adjudicated secret clearance, and a Security + CE certification. There is 1 position that will be sitting at NAVAIR China Lake. The ideal candidate will be supporting our customer's DoD contract which maintains connectivity across multiple countries. Responsible for install, configuration, service, repair, and maintenance of IT systems, hardware/software, and networking devices on a long-term contract.
Requires:
- Experience providing break-fix support for desktop PCs, laptops, & networked peripherals
- Security+ CE certification required, but able to start with an A+ CE or Net+ CE cert
- Interim/Secret Clearance
The team is operational between 6am and 6pm, so the consultant has an opportunity to work an 8-hour shift during that time. Interacts with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction.
Daily Responsibilities-
• Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain information technology systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment.
• Integrate multiple information systems in a networked environment, evaluate and resolve customer information system problems, effect required hardware upgrades and repair to maintain mission capability.
• Install and configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media, server hardware and software, and ensure the proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software for efficient operation on the network.

2. Candidate is expected to have prior experience partnering with/or supporting active duty military personnel
3. Candidates must have experience supporting Networking Equipment.

5. Candidate minimal amount of desktop support, troubleshooting, help desk experience, or a general interest in IT
Top Skills' Details:
For this LCAT, candidates must possess an OEM Certification (CCST, CCT) or higher (CCNA, etc). We are able to request a waiver for candidates who do not have these certifications, however they must obtain the certification within 6 months of hiring. In lieu of the certification, candidates must complete 20 hours of CE/OS training prior to start date. This will need to be completed on their personal time and will need to forward copies of their certification to us following hiring so we can provide it to the customer.
