To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. - Serves as an IT Specialist in the DLA Information Operations J62 PEO, J62X System Applications and Products (SAP) Platform, specifically in the Distribution Standard System (DSS)/ Warehouse Management System (WMS) Portfolio (J62XD).
- This position serves as the Product Owner for Nuclear and Space Enterprise supporting processes within the WMS Program Management Office delivering and sustaining WMS (Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), along with;
- Transportation Management (TM), ERP Central Component (ECC), S/4HANA, etc) across the DLA Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) (Disposition Services, Distribution, Troop Support, Weapons Support, etc).
- Advises teams of functional analysis and IT professionals in the planning, designing, training, initial fielding, operation, and maintenance of the specific applications supported and business information technology systems in general.
- Utilizes advanced computer architectures and hardware in combination with Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS), Government Off the Shelf (GOTS), warehouse management software, transportation software, and understanding Audit Controls.
- Manages and oversees the technical and operational aspects of the program, ensuring system performance and effectiveness aligns with DLA equities and DoW stakeholder requirements.
- Facilitates cross-functional communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including Procurement, Finance, Policy/Planning, external customers, and major supply chains.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for enhancements and modifications.
- Implements and manages IT solutions that adhere to DoW regulations and security requirements to include Defense Transportation Regulations.
- Promotes, develops and maintains good working relationships with key individuals or groups and provides technical guidance, assistance, and direction in areas such as;
- architecture, hosting, infrastructure support, capacity planning, information assurance, business continuance, and the design, configuration, and implementation of advanced computer networking.
- Provides input on policies, plans, goals, or objectives for projects, programs, systems, or operations as well as communicating and coordinating with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors with a focus on integration with systems;
- (to include FLIS, Third Party Payment System, Syncada, Logistics Data Gateway, DLA Enterprise Business System, IBIS-ESS, WMS, TM, DLA Automatic Addressing System, and other systems required for APSR interoperability)
- Provides technical leadership and guidance to development teams working on enhancements related to DLA Disposition and DLA Distribution processes; (Preservation/Packaging/Packing/Marking, Care of Stock in Storage'
