About the Project
Join a critical geospatial analytics initiative supporting a secure AWS ProServe partner engagement. You’ll design and build highly responsive, map-based data visualization platforms used by analysts and decision-makers in classified environments.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement responsive, performant front-end applications for data-intensive and geospatial use cases
Build reusable UI components and design systems that support complex interactions and map-based data overlays
Optimize performance for large-scale vector and raster data rendering in modern browsers
Integrate with backend APIs to support real-time geospatial data and dynamic content delivery
Leverage modern mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox GL JS, Leaflet, CesiumJS)
Collaborate closely with full-stack and data engineers working on AWS cloud services
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly, eligible with Springfield, VA customer
Must be able to work on-site in a SCIF as needed (no remote work)
Must be eligible for SBU, SECNet, COE, and Privileged User access
5+ years of professional front-end software development
4+ years of advanced JavaScript/TypeScript experience
Experience with at least one major front-end framework (React, Vue.js, Angular)
Strong understanding of responsive UI design and cross-browser compatibility
Demonstrated experience building performant web apps for large datasets
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of geospatial application development using libraries like:
Mapbox GL JS, CesiumJS, Leaflet, or OpenLayers
Experience handling GeoJSON, KML, vector tiles, and other spatial formats
Familiarity with WMS/WMTS services and OGC-compliant APIs
Proficiency in CSS/SCSS, responsive layouts, and performance tuning
Data visualization experience with libraries like D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly, etc.
Knowledge of backend integration best practices (RESTful APIs, async data fetching, caching)
Experience working in classified environments and with Agile delivery practices
