About the Project
This Cloud Engineer opportunity is part of a long-term AWS ProServe initiative supporting a high-impact federal mission. You will join a team delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions for a classified program operating across AWS GovCloud and C2S environments.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
Architect and build microservices-based solutions for high availability and performance
Lead full-stack development efforts using modern frameworks in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
Build and maintain data pipelines for large-scale analytics workloads
Implement advanced serverless solutions using Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway
Drive engineering best practices across architecture, code reviews, and CI/CD
Solve complex distributed systems problems in highly secure environments
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, eligible with Springfield, VA customer
Green Badge eligible (can be provided via crossover)
Must have or be eligible for SBU, SECNet, COE, and Privileged User accounts
7+ years of professional software engineering with a cloud-first approach
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS CDK and reusable constructs
Strong experience deploying multi-environment infrastructure using IaC
Advanced Python development experience (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django)
Familiarity with data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, etc.)
JavaScript/TypeScript experience, including use of Node.js and frontend frameworks
Microservices design, event-driven architecture, and secure API development
Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Glue, S3, Athena, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.
Container orchestration knowledge (ECS, EKS, or Fargate)
Experience in highly regulated, classified environments (DoD, IC, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ATO processes, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP
Exposure to MLOps, data lakes, and AWS SageMaker
Security automation, secrets management, and DevSecOps tooling
Monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar
Experience leading cross-functional teams or Agile technical delivery
