Contingent upon Customer Approval

Purpose:

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Engineering Technician II in Virginia Beach, VA.
• This position is to provide Engineering Technical support for modernization and upgrade initiatives for Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS) aboard the LCS class.

Job Description:

• Provide logistics support for INCO kits, MAMs kits, interim spare kits for repair and upgrade.
• Provide lab support for Harvesting of Material and Testing, Assembly, Packaging, Inventory of Spares.
• Apply the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process to develop Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) and to respond to Navy PMS Technical Feed Back Reports (TFBRs).
• Submit requests to Receive, Transfer and Issue material.
• Coordinate between Installers and material management team in generating 1149s and shipping material.
• Review and update various Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
• Configure, inspect, evaluate, and test spares in support of Installation and Check Out (INCO) of SSDS MK2 system.
• Configure, inspect, evaluate, and test spares in support of NAVSUP CASREPs for SSDS MK2 ships.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).
• Must have 3 plus years' experience working with SSDS or Shipboard systems.

Desired Requirements

• Experience with working on Dam Neck Annex Base, preferred.
• IETM development Experience, preferred.

Security Requirements:

• Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance.
• Must maintain clearance eligibility to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.

Travel Requirements:

• Less than 10%
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
• Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
• Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.

Pay Range: $30 - $41 per hour
