What You'll Do:
We have an opportunity for a highly skilled, former P-8A or EP-3 Naval Flight Officer (NFO) to provide subject matter expertise in support of NAVAIR's Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office, PMA-290. This position will be based at NAS Patuxent River, MD.
Key responsibilities as an NFO supporting the Increment 3 (Inc3) program:
- Advise PMA-290 leadership on the integration and testing of Inc3 combat systems-including mission systems, sensors, environmental systems, and mission planning tools.
- Apply expert knowledge of current Inc3 capabilities, including Minotaur mission software.
- Operate P-8A Inc3 systems in lab environments to support system integration and testing goals.
- Analyze and report on combat system performance, providing written and verbal briefings as needed.
- Recommend improvements to enhance P-8A Inc3 performance across key mission areas: ASW, ASuW, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) support, and ISR.
- Support the development and delivery of training materials, potentially including instruction for Integrated Test Teams (ITT).
- This position will require occasional travel.

What You'll Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of operational experience as a P-8A or EP-3 NFO.
- Strong understanding of maritime patrol mission systems, including recent software and hardware updates.
- Ability to analyze complex systems, solve problems, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Experience with engineering software tools and/or systems integration testing.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes.
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners.
- Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
- Proactive, self-directed work style with the ability to operate independently.
- Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly organized, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000-$145,000, commensurate with an individual's experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
