Duties
- Responsive for overall planning, implementation, oversight, and centralized control of a coordinated inspection team program
- As senior Team/Project Lead, organize, train, and oversee the inspection team in the execution of inspection activities
- Develop a wide range of strategies, guidelines, and procedures to conduct comprehensive convention and non-conventional inspection programs comprised of substantial variety and scope
- Formulate the annual inspection schedule
- Represent the Inspector General (IG) inspection function in a variety of meeting, in working groups, and other situations including emergency management personnel in surrounding communities

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to participate in the assessment and development of multifaceted plans and programs for conducting evaluations, analyses, audits, quality and assurance management systems, process improvement, data management, interviews and surveys, and related education and awareness programs; ability to identify evaluators/inspectors, provide them training, evaluate their performance, and track all related events.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Mastery level knowledge of DoD, Joint, and AF inspection and compliance policies, instructions, and practices involved in the AF inspection program; AF structure, mission, and programs; and instructions governing the organization's operations and plans programs
- Extensive knowledge of AF programs, structure, mission requirements, vulnerabilities, operational and security policies, and the work processes/operations of assigned organizations
- Expert level knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques related to the identification, consideration, and resolution of difficult issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of program operations
- Skill and ability in gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts, drawing conclusions, devising solutions to problems, and identifying changes and trends
- Skill in conducting interviews with supervisors, functional experts, and employees to obtain information about organizational missions, functions, interrelationships, and work procedures
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Hill Air Force Base provides worldwide engineering and logistics management for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and the Minuteman III ICBM, and performs depot maintenance of the F-16, A-10, and C-130 Hercules aircraft. The base is located between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The area is known for year round activities, including skiing, hiking, boating, extreme sports, fishing and hunting, with four distinct seasons, low humidity and moderate snow fall in the valley.
