SMS is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Operations Analyst to join our team providing operational and project support to an Army SATCOM services program office. This Operations Analyst will support Program Office initiatives by maintaining project schedules, documentation, and records, and will maintain project budget data.

Responsibilities
- Serves as program/project portfolio manager, providing administrative process control.
- Provides management reports and information to leadership on a routine basis.
- Coordinates assigned functions with managers/supervisors to ensure staff actions, task assignments, and status reporting is executed to standard.
- Provides advice and assistance in development of life cycle cost analyses of assigned projects.
- Performs cost/benefit or economic evaluations of current or projected programs.
- Advises on the distribution of work among positions and organizations and the appropriate staffing levels and skills mix.
- Support, manage, create, and maintains project schedules for multiple projects using Microsoft Project.
- Responsible for reporting project schedule changes during monthly Integrated Product Team (IPT) briefings to leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Manages the Program Office Roll-up schedule and coordinates daily with the Program Office Master Scheduler to align scheduling across all related projects.
- Work closely with Assistant Program Managers (APMs) and Project Coordinators to update schedules, identify project risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to prevent delays and manage potential cost impacts.
- Advise APMs and Project Coordinators on appropriate staffing and the key personnel required for schedule development and maintenance.
- Utilize customer cost/budget system to maintain project financial data.
- Create, edit, format, and/or store project documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field plus one full academic year of graduate education in the specialized field; or, a bachelor's degree in a specialized field plus 3 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- MS Office proficiency

- Able to work independently and manage tasks assigned by multiple Managers
