As the Senior Systems Engineer, the individual will work within the Southwest Asia Theater Signal Service Support (SWA-TS3) contract to provide a full range of Information Technology (IT) engineering and installation (E&I) services throughout the U.S. CENTCOM and ARCENT area of responsibility.
The Senior Systems Engineer will provide assessments of infrastructure modernization/project costs, design concepts, or design changes. Evaluate/document design specifications, installation instructions, and other infrastructures/system related information. The Engineer will verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture, identify information communications technology (ICT) infrastructure components required to meet requirements, and ensure secured systems. In addition, the individual will collaborate with engineers to develop appropriate design solutions to ensure a compatibility of infrastructure/system components. As the Senior Systems Engineer, the individual will analyze the integration and operation of complete ICT infrastructure components and systems and establish standards to ensure operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints are addressed.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluates current or emerging technologies in the development of solutions considering such factors as cost, portability, compatibility, and usability
- Provides technical guidance and support for the development and/or troubleshooting of systems
- Investigates and implements any automation needs to include automation of virtualized stacks and virtual machines
- Investigates system components suitability for specified purposes and make recommendations changes/modifications
- Plans and executes the installation, upgrade, and/or tech refresh of infrastructure components, as required
- Works with the team to develop project plans, schedules, or budgets
- Defines and analyzes objectives, issues, and organizational impact of ICT infrastructure
- Develops system integration implementation plans
- Designs, conducts, and reviews hardware or software tests
- Evaluates existing infrastructure to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet requirements
- Communicates project information through presentations, technical reports, or whitepapers
- Performs security analysis of developed solutions
- Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
- Must have 6 or more years in support of systems engineering operations
- Must have and maintain Secret Security Clearance or higher
- Must possess one of the following active DoD Approved 8570 "Baseline Certifications" at IAT Level III: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, and CCSP.
- The candidate must satisfy the "Computing Environment" requirement by possessing an active professional level systems certification
- Must possess Automation skills
- Must have hands-on experience with IP Port Security
- Must be proficient with VMPSIP Networking
- Prior experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Must have Data Storage experience
- Hyper-Converged Technologies
- Automation of VMware hypervisors, virtual machines and application installs
- Network Appliance Data Storage Filers
- Must have hands on experience with Near Store Appliance
- Virtual File Manager
- Hands on experience configuring components to meet requirements and specifications
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues
