Role overview
We are seeking an STO Planning Support Analyst to support USCENTCOM-level planning by helping integrate Special Technical Operations (STO) requirements into campaign strategy, plans, orders, and exercises. This role supports planning teams and working groups, coordinates across stakeholders, and helps ensure STO-related planning efforts are aligned, approved, and properly safeguarded.
This position is ideal for a candidate who has supported STO efforts in a headquarters environment and is comfortable operating in highly controlled, need-to-know planning spaces.

What you’ll do
Integrate STO requirements into campaign plans, orders, CONOPs, and exercises supporting USCENTCOM.
Support JOPP/JOPES planning efforts (mission analysis through transition) and provide input to planning teams/working groups.
Coordinate and deconflict STO/SAP/ACCM planning actions across USCENTCOM components, Joint Staff, OSD, and interagency/coalition partners as required.
Build, staff, and track RAP packages for STO/SAP/Sensitive Activities CONOPs and plans.
Ensure compliance with IJSTO policy and safeguarding requirements for STO materials, access, storage, and communications.
Support FOIA/MDR coordination tasks as directed within the planning directorate.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required).
2+ years of experience directly involved in STO at a Joint Staff or Geographic Combatant Command headquarters (or equivalent HQ environment).
Experience planning, synchronizing, and assessing STO requirements within full-spectrum IO operations.
Experience developing and integrating STO requirements into campaign strategy, plans, and orders.
Completion of:
STO Planner’s Course
Planning and Decision Aid System (PDAS) Users Course
Security requirements
Active TS/SCI (required).
Must be eligible for SAP access and able to operate in ACCM-controlled environments as required.
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience supporting USCENTCOM or a USCENTCOM component command.
Familiarity with the Joint Operational Planning Process, and HQ staffing workflows (taskers, staffing packages, action officer routing).
