Qualified candidates require at least 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or Project Management and a required to have an active IAT II certification and DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

This position will supply organizational IT support within a manufacturing environment. Tasks will include supporting current infrastructure and creating roadmaps for future system integrations and continuous improvement. This position is at Picatinny Arsenal.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supply information technology support in desktop engineering, server administration and for machine tool automation and networking.
  • Act as liaison to technology vendors for support and installation systems and services.
  • Stay abreast of industry solutions, best practices, and present said solutions to the customer for review.
  • Document all relevant infrastructure changes and technology deployments in accordance with local requirements.
  • Monitor service patterns to find systemic issues requiring resolution and/or escalation.
  • Supply senior level desktop engineering of Windows operating systems.
  • Provide client-server support for COTS applications including some SQL database administration.
  • Provide server engineering including patch and configuration management for Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
  • Provide Project Management for system integrations and upgrades to include customer updates and reports.
  • Members of the Senior IT Staff will also supply management of the organization's virtual server assets via proper VMware vSphere administration including VM resource and snapshot management.


Qualifications

Requirements:

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience with the following:
    • IT Project Management
    • Network Engineering
  • Considerable experience administering Windows operating systems both desktop and server.
    • Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Proven skills in technical writing, presentation, and communication.
  • Detail oriented, works well in team environment, can multi-task within a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving priorities.


Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Must hold or obtain an active CompTIA Sec+ CE prior to start date.
  • Must be able have an active DoD security clearance or be able to obtain an interim Secret security clearance through the DoD security background investigation process.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Pass drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid driver's license
