SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is: To plan. implement. administer. and advise on HQ Air University
Registrar Services. The AU Registrar provides academic services and support of admissions. registration. academic
tracking. scheduling, and planning of academic program along with other educational programs and service
activities provided to military members, guard and reserve. sister services, international services, and civilian
members.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: A bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position to be filled. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge of educational principles, concepts, methods and practices sufficient to interpret policies and procedures. which govern student admission/enrollment into degree programs, non-degree programs and various, course offerings at Air University and Air University affiliated schools; Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources and use basic analytical methods and techniques to determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in the scheduling function; Knowledge of the AU curriculum programs and objectives to maintain and coordinate academic programmed events. Also, maintain student academic status from enrollment to graduation perform assignments and resolve a wide range of issues using accepted practices; Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in -grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Bachelor's Degree in an education related field of study is required, along with knowledge of the American
collegiate systems, including university organizations requirements for degree accreditation.
2. Broad knowledge of Air University admissions requirements for academic degree programs, registration,
graduation and transcription policies and procedures for processes, to include international, sister services, and
civilian students.
3. Broad working knowledge of Air Force, Air University regulations, policies, and procedures for the day-to-day
administration of a degree granting academic program. This includes complying with the precedents set by the AU
Registrar for resident and non-resident students.
4. Broad knowledge of the organization's operations and procedures to evaluate information gathered from various
sources to determine an accurate and applicable solution; Broad knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office
operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate academic, student, and faculty data.
5. Extensive knowledge of curriculum and program offerings to support faculty and students; Ability to use one or more established computer programs/software (Microsoft Office) to enter, maintain, sort.
and retrieve organizational and/or program data.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.

Duties
- Servers as Registrar Services representative for all Air University Commandants, Deans, and in-resident
faculty, staff and student body - Maintains student academic status from enrollment to graduation.
- Manages the maintenance, verification, reporting, and archival of all academic records for AU students.
- Manages the acceptance, verification and validation and fulfillment requests for transfer credits. enrollment, confer
degrees, production of official transcripts, and diplomas. Manages the distribution of official/unofficial academic
transcripts and diplomas. - Manages Air University academic programmed events to include the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC)
and Air War College (AWC), student orientation week for international military student (IMS) officers,
orchestrating the most crucial period by planning, scheduling, and execution to meet AU and leadership
expectations.
