An aerospace client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with Active Secret Clearance to support client's Software and Digital Technologies department.
Location: Baltimore, MD 21240 (Onsite)
Position: Embedded Software Engineer with Active Secret Clearance
Pay Rate: $83.85/hr. - $95.88/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 6 months or longer
Schedule: 9×80 A
Shifts: 1st Shift

An Embedded Software Engineer to support our Software and Digital Technologies department. As a member of the SW&DT department you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside systems, firmware, and hardware engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Aviation Blvd West Building in Linthicum, MD.

OVERVIEW:
An Embedded Software Engineer to support our Software and Digital Technologies department. As a member of the SW&DT department you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside systems, firmware, and hardware engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Aviation Blvd West Building in Linthicum, MD.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the planning, development, and testing of a surface Navy electronic warfare system.
- Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
- Use software development and collaboration tools like VS code, Jenkins, JIRA, BitBucket/GIT, Nexus, and Confluence.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to support system level integration testing.
- Implement software changes in C++ to port existing software to new hardware.
- Unit test software changes with system hardware.
- The technical environment: Agile SW process, On site, Linux, VxWorks, C++, GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, Electronic Warfare.
- Typical day look like: Daily Stand Up, work tickets from backlog, test tickets on the integration bench, peer review software changes.
Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Must hold an active SECRET clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience
- Experience with C++ - 5 years.
- Experience working on radio frequency systems.
- Experience with digital signal processing.
- Experience working with real-time embedded systems using VxWorks operating system.
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience conducting unit testing with hardware in the loop
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
- Prior experience with Electronic Warfare system software development
- Experience with Electronic Warfare techniques and signal processing
