Overview

SOS International LLC is seeking a HVAC Supervisor to support the Contractor's labor force and resources in meeting the overall O&M requirements of the Contract. An HVAC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in various settings. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Job Duties

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC technicians to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues, providing technical support to technicians as needed.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair work is performed in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems and completed work to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address any customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Manage inventory of HVAC parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Order necessary supplies and materials in a timely manner to prevent project delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory usage and transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, technician performance, and HVAC system conditions.
  • Develop and manage budgets for HVAC projects and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Master HVAC license or equivalent technical certification required.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in the HVAC field.
  • Minimum five years supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Ten years of HVAC experience may be substituted for a master's license if appropriate equivalent technical certification exist.
  • Knowledge and experience with applicable U.S. and international technical codes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing HVAC projects and teams.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and software.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in HVAC technology, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • EPA certification for handling refrigerants preferred.

Work Environment
  • Work is primarily performed in indoor environments but may also involve outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects for extended periods.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, and equipment, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Regular travel to different job sites may be required.
  • On-call availability for emergency repairs and maintenance.
